About the position

The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) plays a crucial leadership role within assigned accounts, managing strategic customer relationships and driving business partnerships on behalf of Sanofi. This position is responsible for developing and executing strategic account plans, fostering trust-based relationships with stakeholders, and identifying growth opportunities to meet revenue targets. The SAM will collaborate with cross-functional teams to co-create value for customers and ensure alignment on account strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Assume leadership role within assigned accounts and provide overall account leadership to internal and external team members.
  • Build and manage strategic account plans for assigned customers to drive value co-creation and meet revenue targets.
  • Develop and maintain trust-based relationships with external stakeholders to generate revenue.
  • Understand the customer's business model, strategic goals, and position within the healthcare environment.
  • Identify and qualify high-value opportunities within accounts and develop growth strategies with customers.
  • Conduct business coaching and strategy sessions with account teams to facilitate customer value co-creation.
  • Serve as the central point of communication for account planning, strategy, collaboration, and customer engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Broad understanding of health system business, decision-making processes, and market trends.
  • Proven track record of accessing C-suite to D-suite decision makers.
  • Ability to translate health system market knowledge into strategic plans with internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in executing tactical initiatives and managing multiple projects.
  • Field sales experience with success in working with P&T committees and decision makers in large-organized customers.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Valid driver's license and eligibility for insurance coverage.

  • MBA or other advanced degree.
  • Strong data analytics skills.
  • Experience in Market Access, Pricing, Contracting, or Finance.
  • Proficient with MS Office and customer management databases.
  • Experience leading teams with demonstrated impact and influence.
