About the position

The Strategic Communications Project Manager at HDR is responsible for developing, executing, and managing communication and outreach activities related to energy projects. This role emphasizes community engagement, collaboration, and innovative thinking within a high-performing team. The manager will lead the development of communication strategies, manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets, and ensure effective messaging across various platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of scope, schedule, and budget for tasks and standalone projects.
• Interface with clients and client-facing teams to coordinate successful delivery of energy projects.
• Lead communications and community engagement strategy development for energy project planning, design, and construction.
• Direct customer-facing communication across various mediums including social media, print, video, and web.
• Lead concept development, writing, and editing of collateral materials such as surveys, newsletters, websites, and press releases.
• Coordinate with creative disciplines to maintain brand consistency and enhance user experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 7 years of related experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of project management experience.
• Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous work experience in the energy industry.
