In this position, the journeyman will be responsible for formulating the necessary diameter pipe and pads for preheating and post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) to achieve specific temperatures. Proficiency in using small power tools, such as die grinders and right angle grinders, is essential. The ability to read and comprehend piping isometric drawings is crucial, and familiarity with piping and instrument diagrams is preferred. The candidate should also be capable of efficiently planning work and proficient in pipe layout, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and workpieces during installation, as well as performing minor maintenance on tools and equipment.
