Candidates will have experience in the structural design of major projects including steel, concrete, masonry and/or timber structures and tangible experience with finite element modeling and analysis, in preparation of structural calculations, development of construction documents and coordination within the integrated design processes. High rise experience is desired for this is a rapidly growing forensic investigation market. Common issues or claims that a forensic structural analysis will be used for are as follows: shallow and deep foundation systems, structural slab design, podium design, framing, beams and columns, shearwalls, anchoring systems, roof structures, seismic analyses, vibrations from adjacent construction, shoring, weatherproofing and cladding interactions. Appropriate candidates will have experience in advanced structural analysis and the ability to develop, analyze, and evaluate detailed construction documents, drawings, and/or specifications. Candidates should demonstrate creative thinking in order to resolve complex structural design problems. Additionally, candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills and have a collaborative and team-oriented attitude.
