About the position

Fitch Ratings is seeking an Associate Director to join its Structured Credit group based out of our Austin, TX office location. In this role, you will be a lead coverage analyst at a global rating agency, contributing to the analysis of ratings on Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs) using proprietary models. You will prepare and present rating conclusions to a credit committee, draft rating action commentary reports to communicate rating decisions to market participants, and serve as a credit committee member for rating assignments within the Structured Credit sector. Additionally, you will contribute to recurring and special research publications, providing timely insights that aid debt capital markets in making more informed decisions through insightful and forward-looking rating actions and research. Responsibilities

  • Analyze ratings on Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs) using proprietary models.
  • Prepare and present rating conclusions to a credit committee.
  • Draft rating action commentary reports to communicate rating decisions to market participants.
  • Serve as a credit committee member for rating assignments within the Structured Credit sector.
  • Contribute to recurring and special research publications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (finance, accounting, economics, etc.).
  • At least 4 years of experience in the financial industry, preferably related to CLOs or Structured Finance.
  • Strong analytical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail.
  • High level of personal responsibility, initiative, and self-management.
  • Ability to communicate complex subjects accurately and succinctly.
  • Interest in capital markets and structured finance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite; knowledge of programming languages is a plus but not required.
