Widener University is currently seeking a Student Financial Services Representative in the Office of the Bursar/Enrollment Services. This full-time, in-person role is crucial for assisting all University students and staff with transactions related to Financial Aid, Bursar, Registrar, and One Card. The representative will be responsible for answering a wide variety of questions posed by potential and current students, staff, faculty, and visitors to the University. The position requires a commitment to providing high-quality customer service in various contexts, including in-person, telephone, and virtual interactions. It is essential to note that this position mandates 100% in-person employment, emphasizing the importance of direct engagement with the university community. The Student Financial Services Representative will handle a range of responsibilities, including reviewing students' financial aid, processing add/drop of classes for the Registrar, facilitating changes in meal plans, issuing student employment contracts, and providing other services to support various units on campus. This role also involves processing in-person student and departmental cash and check payments, advising students and staff on financial status processes, and initiating, reviewing, and updating student accounts for financial assessment and payment transactions. Additionally, the representative will prepare and reconcile daily cash receipts for the head cashier, ensuring accurate financial management within the office. Secondary responsibilities include data entry of course schedules, dispensing student employment contracts, processing Enrollment Management forms, instructing students on web-based transactions, and resolving holds on student records. The representative will also perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Office of the Bursar/Enrollment Services.
