The Student Records Module Analyst/Programmer at Cal Poly Pomona plays a crucial role in supporting the Enrollment Management & Services (EM&S) department, which is dedicated to enhancing the educational mission of the university. In the realm of systems analysis and development, the Analyst/Programmer will analyze user needs, evaluate alternative solutions, and select optimal technology solutions. The role also requires designing user-friendly interfaces and modifying third-party software to meet user needs. The Analyst/Programmer will be responsible for maintaining and supporting assigned systems to minimize downtime and enhance productivity. This includes evaluating and enhancing existing programs, installing new software releases, and ensuring database systems are structured and maintained for optimal data access and security. Additionally, the position involves establishing policies and procedures for data planning and analysis, ensuring data integrity, and developing data models. As a Module Lead, the Analyst/Programmer will provide functional and technical support for the Student Records, Academic Advising, and Campus Community modules within the PeopleSoft system. This includes leading business process reviews, coordinating system functionality, and collaborating with external parties for processes related to enrollment and graduation. The incumbent will also represent the department in Chancellor's Office calls and conferences, ensuring effective communication and problem resolution regarding student data issues.
