About The Position

The Student Worker position is classified as a Student-Run Business Sales Ambassador at the Brooklyn Campus under the Dean of Student Services. The role involves staffing various student-run businesses, including Canteen, where sales ambassadors greet and assist customers, operate the point of sale (POS) system, and help with inventory management, maintenance of the facilities, and online order fulfillment.

Requirements

• LIU student enrolled in an active degree program.

Responsibilities

• Operate the point of sale (POS) system to process orders, returns, and exchanges.
• Utilize customer service skills to assist customers with any questions or concerns.
• Organize store inventory and displays to ensure the store is presentable and properly stocked.
• Assist in inventory labeling and fulfilling online sales orders.
• Communicate regularly with the Director of Student-Run Businesses.

Benefits

• Minimum hourly rate of $16.50 HR
