Substance Abuse Counselor/Case Manager

About the position

The Substance Abuse Counselor/Case Manager at Arision Recovery Inc. is responsible for providing clinical care to clients in various programs, including Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient, and Outpatient levels of care. This role involves direct supervision by the Clinical Supervisor/Director and requires effective communication with clients and staff to ensure safety, cleanliness, and adherence to program schedules. The Case Manager will facilitate individual, group, and family counseling sessions while maintaining professional boundaries and ethical practices.

Responsibilities

• Interface with clients on an individual and group basis.
• Ensure clients participate in daily activities and groups.
• Maintain a safe and clean facility for clients.
• Demonstrate professionalism when interacting with clients and their families.
• Model good sobriety and observe client behaviors.
• Facilitate clients' daily activities per the program schedule.
• Provide clinical care to patients under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor/Director.
• Conduct individual, group, and family substance abuse counseling.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings.
• Work as part of a healthcare team to assess resident needs and implement interventions.
• Provide UA testing as directed for members of the same sex.
• Communicate with clinical staff via electronic Communication Log and shift log.
• Monitor residents' vital signs and conduct observations according to protocols.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in the field of alcohol and/or other drug services.
• Understanding of the 12 Steps.
• Valid Driver's License or Identification.
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification or agreement to obtain within the first 14 days of employment.
• Current TB test Certification with an accredited board of SUD (such as CCAPP).
• Computer competence in Microsoft Word and Excel.
