As a Substance Abuse Counselor in our Inpatient Addiction Treatment program, you will join a dedicated and experienced team committed to helping individuals achieve long-term recovery. This role involves providing therapeutic services, including individual and group counseling, case management, and conducting assessments. You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary treatment team, working collaboratively to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs. Clinical supervision will be available as needed to support your professional development and ensure the highest quality of care is provided to our clients. Your responsibilities will include completing intakes for new admissions and discharging clients as necessary, utilizing electronic medical records and state systems. You will assess clients' needs using evidence-based assessment tools and diagnose substance use disorders according to DSM criteria. Based on your assessments, you will determine the appropriate level of care and develop mutually agreed-upon treatment plans that address the multidimensional needs of clients. You will also provide substance abuse counseling services, including crisis intervention, employing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). The position offers a flexible schedule, requiring availability for at least one weekend day shift per week. You will have the opportunity to choose between two schedule options: Tuesdays through Saturdays or Sundays through Thursdays.
