Substitute Child Development Preschool Teacher

About the position

The Centralia School District is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Child Development Preschool Teacher. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of child development principles and the ability to implement effective teaching strategies in a preschool setting. The selected candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and educational environment for young children, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities for preschool children.
• Assess and monitor children's progress and development.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and needs.
• Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the educational experience.

Requirements

• Must have a Bachelor's Degree.
• Site Supervisor Child Development Permit.
• Proof of High School Diploma or GED (can be substituted for higher degree).
• Copy of Transcript showing completion of Bachelor's Degree.
• One letter of recommendation, preferably from the most current employer.
• Current First Aid/CPR card (if not available, must obtain before starting).
• Resume.
