About the position
The Substitute Teacher position at Big Five Community Services is designed to provide support in the Head Start program during the absence of regular employees. This role encompasses various responsibilities, including assisting in classrooms, family services, food service, custodial tasks, and clerical work, ensuring the safety and well-being of preschool-aged children.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the Head Start program in various capacities as needed due to employee absence.
- Support classroom activities and engage with children.
- Provide family services and assist with food service as required.
- Perform custodial and clerical work as necessary.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children in all activities.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Demonstrated capacity for effectively caring for preschool-aged children.
- Must be free of any communicable diseases.
- No criminal record as verified by OSBI and DHS.
- Must obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR certification within thirty days of employment.
- Current driver's license and proof of automobile insurance required.
- Good driving record is necessary.
