About the position

The Summer 2025 Human Factors Intern position at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is designed for students actively pursuing a degree in fields such as Psychology, Human Factors, Engineering Psychology, or Industrial Engineering. This internship offers a unique opportunity to engage in hands-on projects that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating. Interns will work closely with multidisciplinary design teams to perform trade studies on system design concepts, providing recommendations based on human factors requirements. The role involves assisting in the design of part task simulation evaluations, utilizing software and physical mockups, and applying predictive modeling tools to define detailed design requirements. Interns will collaborate with Human Factors Engineers to select and apply appropriate anthropometric modeling tools for design concept analysis. They will also be responsible for preparing and executing part task and simulator plans that utilize various data measurement techniques, including rating scales and performance measurement calculations. Documentation of evaluations in final engineering reports and assisting with the validation and verification of requirements are key components of this role. Interns will utilize industry and regulatory design guidance to support various design aspects, ensuring compliance with established standards. This internship requires a commitment of 40 hours per week for a minimum of 12 weeks during the summer months, specifically from May/June to August/September 2025. Candidates must have reliable transportation and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 throughout the internship. The position is open to undergraduate, master's, and PhD candidates, making it an excellent opportunity for those seeking professional experience in an engineering environment.
