About the position

In this role, you will be responsible for assigning, scheduling, and fully tasking software developers using agile principles to maintain a continuous integration and continuous delivery pipeline. You will recruit, train, and develop software developers to build and maintain technical capacity across all systems domains. Setting expectations and evaluating the performance of direct reports will be a continual process to help them achieve optimal results. You will manage conflicts and mediate resolutions quickly and effectively, either through one-on-one methods or by collaborating with Command's Labor and Employees Relations resources. Implementing quality assurance, conducting code spot checks, and validating final software releases using agile principles will be key responsibilities. Additionally, you will actively collaborate and consult with software and database developers to solve challenges and aid in prototyping software solutions using hypothesis-driven development methods. You will serve as the Hosted Services first-line supervisor in the Data Systems Division.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • New employees to the Department of the Navy must pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Appointment of retired military members within 180 days of retirement is subject to provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required.
  • Position may require travel to CONUS and OCONUS, including remote or isolated sites.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch must review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct.
