Summary This position is located in the Office of the Chief of Staff of the PFPA. The incumbent serves as the Director Corporate Communication Division, a senior advisor to the Chief of Staff and agency Director regarding the internal and external exchange of information, informational policy, and overall agency coordinator for protocol and special events. Responsibilities Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Develops and implements strategic communication plans to support PFPA initiatives and objectives. The incumbent drafts speeches and talking points for PFPA Senior Executives and DoD senior officials. Assigns special assignments and project to subordinates and ensure work is accomplished in a timely manner and meets the overall intent. Manages the policies, development, execution, and maintenance of the agency's three websites (internet, intranet, and extranet) with respect to disseminating information within PFPA and to local law enforcement organizations, security agencies, Military Departments, and the general public. Attends workshops, webinars, and courses to stay updated on the latest communication tools and techniques. ACTIVE DUTY SERVICE MEMBERS: The VOW Act Chapter 21 of Title 5, United States Code (U.S.C.), Section 2108a, requires Federal agencies treat active duty service member as veterans, disabled veterans, and preference eligible, when they submit, at the time they apply for a Federal job, a "certification" of active service in lieu of a DD-214, assuming the service member is otherwise eligible.
