About the position

The Supplier Management Director at Arrow Electronics will lead the strategic management of supplier relationships, specifically with VMware, within the Americas Enterprise Computing Solutions division. This role involves overseeing sales initiatives, managing P&L goals, and developing strategies to enhance the network and security portfolio. The director will also be responsible for partner recruitment and maintaining senior-level relationships with customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, sales, and executive management of supplier (VMware).
• Lead the extended team and develop initiatives to meet P&L goals.
• Build and expand the network/security portfolio and outsourced support offers to the supplier.
• Manage P&L including forecasting, pipeline development, inventory management, and cost management.
• Lead the relationship with the supplier, providing insights to the Arrow executive team.
• Oversee partner recruitment goals and marketing initiatives.
• Execute strategies that motivate sales teams to achieve sales goals.
• Maintain senior-level relationships with customers, suppliers, and Arrow corporate.
• Lead value-added sales opportunities by implementing network/security strategies.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in Supplier Management, Partner Management, Product Management, Sales/Business Development, or a combination thereof.
• 15+ years of industry experience working with suppliers and resellers of network security services.
• Prior experience leading and managing Sales & Supplier teams in an enterprise-level environment.
• Experience with VMware is required.
• Distribution experience is preferred.
