About the position

The Supply and Demand Planning Lead at Johnson Controls International is responsible for overseeing the Demand and Supply Planning processes for the Residential HVAC business. This role involves guiding and supporting Demand and Supply Planners, preparing executive presentations, and ensuring alignment with financial targets through effective forecasting and planning strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Demand & Supply Planning processes to support S&OE and S&OP for Residential HVAC.
  • Guide and support Demand and Supply Planners in their daily tasks and deliverables.
  • Summarize insights and prepare executive presentations for the Director of S&OP.
  • Review historical sales trends and prepare forecast data using statistical models.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance to develop consensus forecasts.
  • Utilize top-down and bottom-up forecasting strategies for cross-functional planning.
  • Document demand planning assumptions and hold teams accountable for decisions.
  • Maintain forecast models within Logility Demand Optimization module.
  • Analyze environmental factors and market dynamics to adjust forecasts.
  • Track demand consumption and improve forecasts based on insights.
  • Drive root cause analysis for demand plan errors and implement improvements.
  • Develop comprehensive supply plans based on business data and scenarios.
  • Define rough-cut capacity plans and identify constraints with manufacturing.
  • Track execution and resolve demand/supply gaps in coordination with functions.
  • Define inventory entitlement and safety stock levels based on product strategies.
  • Maintain accurate replenishment signals for operational efficiency.
  • Support near-term planning processes and monitor production attainment.
  • Identify and escalate risks in missed commitments and inventory gaps.
  • Define and incorporate new processes and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Business.
  • 8-10 years of supply chain experience, with at least 4 years in direct SIOP.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and forecasting tools (Logility preferred).
  • Familiarity with manufacturing concepts and end-to-end supply chain processes.
  • Ability to recognize trends in data and translate them into actionable plans.
  • Mindset of continuous improvement and efficiency in workload execution.
  • Ability to lead through influence and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • HVAC industry experience.
  • Experience with planning tools like Kinaxis.
