Siemens EDA is a global technology leader in Electronic Design Automation software, enabling companies worldwide to develop innovative electronic products more efficiently. The Supply Chain Manager will play a crucial role in managing an assigned contract manufacturer, focusing on specific product lines. This position involves ensuring clear-to-build readiness, providing material escalation support for critical shortages, and driving overall cost efficiencies. The manager will be responsible for monitoring material and inventory analysis at the supplier level, as well as overseeing excess and obsolescence management. In this role, the Supply Chain Manager will create and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure continuity of supply and facilitate continuous improvement planning. They will also be responsible for approving any Purchase Price Variance (PPV) claims and negotiating product and Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) costs with assigned suppliers. Evaluating value-add costs against other quotes is essential to achieve best-in-class pricing. The manager will ensure data integrity in suppliers' ERP systems, verifying that standard costs, lead times, and Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs) are accurate to minimize Siemens' financial exposure. As the first point of escalation for critical material shortages, the Supply Chain Manager will assist in escalating issues to Commodity Management or seek alternative suppliers to close any gaps. They will monitor the execution of forecast changes to ensure on-time delivery and limit excess liability. Leading Quarterly Business Reviews, the manager will champion internal and external teams to prepare agendas and present performance scores. Collaboration with Commodity Management, Engineering/Quality, and R&D is vital for addressing project or escalation issues. Ultimately, the Supply Chain Manager will own the supply source and drive continuous improvement to enhance cost, quality, responsiveness, support, and performance.
