About the position

The Supply Chain Materials/Accounting Specialist at Humboldt General Hospital is responsible for managing the daily functions related to the movement of supplies, packages, and equipment throughout the hospital. This role involves maintaining inventory, unloading trucks, auditing medical gases, and ensuring proper restocking of supplies. The position is safety-sensitive, requiring attention to detail and the ability to operate heavy equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Receive all materials delivered to the facility by various vendors and maintain receiving log.
• Check all documents for accuracy prior to processing packing slips.
• Stage afternoon deliveries for efficiency and properly disburse materials to various locations.
• Assist with the implementation of the PAR level system throughout the hospital.
• Review backorders with Purchasing Assistant and expedite these orders.
• Coordinate product returns with vendors and communicate with departments regarding requisitions and orders.
• Maintain an accurate filing system for purchase orders and requisitions.
• Verify packing slips against purchase orders and invoices for Accounts Payable.
• Report price discrepancies to the Material Management Director.
• Help maintain the outside receiving area and identify process improvements.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift certification.
• Valid and unrestricted Nevada driver's license.
