About the position

The Supply Chain Specialist role at BC Forward involves analyzing and maintaining material requirements planning (MRP), creating purchase orders, and evaluating production demand to ensure timely delivery of products. The position requires effective communication with internal management and staff, as well as vendors and customer service. The specialist will also be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, maintaining accurate data in SAP, and generating reports to support supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, maintain, and fully utilize MRP.
• Create purchase orders and follow up on them.
• Evaluate production demand to provide commitments to new sales orders and delivery timelines.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of internal management and staff.
• Process, maintain, and analyze data related to supply chain operations.
• Develop, implement, and enforce SHE goals and objectives for the facility.
• Communicate sensitive information and feedback to vendors and customer service.
• Create reports and information packages for internal use.
• Monitor and maintain material master data, open purchase orders, and stock transfer orders in SAP.
• Assist with overflow work from colleagues as needed.
• Keep detailed records and generate reports.
• Oversee stock levels of warehouse inventory across multiple locations.
• Maintain appropriate purchased inventory flow.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to identify problems and find solutions.
• Work in other areas of Supply Chain as directed by the Supply Chain Team Leader and Manager.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of supply chain experience.
• Experience in Production Planning, Purchasing, and SAP preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
• Excellent computer skills, particularly in Excel and formula creation.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
