Under direct supervision, is responsible for the procurement, receiving, storing and issuing of materials, supplies and equipment to ensure park facilities and vehicles are stocked and maintained; and performs related duties as required.
Responsibilities
Maintains inventory records of equipment, material, and supplies stored on site or at park locations
Prepares purchase orders for equipment, material and supplies
Receives, inspects, and issues all incoming material and supplies
Checks and verifies material received against requisitions, shipping notices or invoices to ensure receipt
Coordinates purchases, deliveries and pickups with Department, Purchasing Department and vendors
Maintains records of tools and equipment out on loan
Maintains records of gasoline utilized by Department vehicles on a daily basis
Coordinates vehicle service with Fleet Maintenance Department
Performs related duties as required
Requirements
Graduation from High School or General Education Development (GED) certificate
One year experience in an office environment performing administrative functions or in supply, purchasing and inventory control
Knowledge of basic office procedures
Skill in the operation of basic office equipment
Ability to understand and follow instructions
Ability to maintain records, documents and compile and organize reports
Ability to communicate with diverse groups of individuals utilizing tact and diplomacy
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, County employees and the general public
Must have a valid Texas driver's license
Must secure and maintain a favorable background investigation from the Bexar County Sheriff's Office
Must clear a pre-employment physical and pre-employment drug screen test
Physical requirements include carrying/lifting of 10-25 lbs.; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate basic office equipment
Subject to walking, sitting, standing, bending, reaching and twisting to perform the essential functions
