About the position

The position involves assisting Project & Business Managers and Project Management Analysts in their duties, providing mentoring and coaching, conducting performance reviews, and leading innovation on process and tools improvements. The role includes supervising, mentoring, and managing the workload and assignments among a specific group. The individual will develop, monitor, and present project and program performance reports, providing broad analytical and operational support to Project & Construction Management (P&CM). Responsibilities also include preparing comprehensive reports to support business operations, coordinating the reporting of financial and schedule risks, and representing Project Controls regarding estimating, scheduling, or cost processes. The position may require extended hours for coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, performance measures, and training for Project Management Analysts.
• Recruit and hire Project Management Analysts, ensuring proper onboarding.
• Build reports including Estimates, Schedules, and Financial reports.
• Analyze and provide guidance to ensure alignment of work plans with budget and performance goals.
• Monitor, track, and report project budgets, forecasts, accruals, and actuals.
• Attend required meetings and reach out to project stakeholders for information.
• Identify budget, forecast, and authorization issues early and assist in developing resolutions.
• Support Project Managers with presentations and analysis.
• Assist Manager, Project Controls with portfolio analysis and leadership presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Technical Field.
• 4-7 years related experience, or 6-9 years relevant business experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Comprehensive understanding of applicable standards, methods, processes, and practices.
• Ability to provide in-depth analysis and apply forecasting and analytical problem solving.
• Ability to supervise, mentor, and develop people.
• Strong analytical skills for project financial evaluation and risk identification.
• Customer-driven with strong oral and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Financial, Business or Project Management advanced degree.
• 4-10 years project experience in estimating, scheduling, or cost tracking in the electric/gas industry.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and specialized business technologies.
• Proficient in business case development and presentation.

• Annual salary range: USD $94,400.00/Yr. - USD $141,600.00/Yr.
