As a Surface Warfare Analyst, you’ll bring your background in the integration of shipboard systems, operational and tactical maritime warfare, command and control, maintenance and modernization, naval training systems, installation management, managing people, and analyzing policies, training, logistics, and shipboard material readiness to work on projects to improve surface ship readiness. You’ll help identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, and processes to improve surface warfare. You’ll impact the work we do to help prepare naval forces and staffs for deployment and success in their operational missions. Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, and processes to improve surface warfare.
  • Work on projects to improve surface ship readiness.
  • Prepare naval forces and staffs for deployment and success in their operational missions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with surface warfare, including as a Surface Department Head afloat or Senior Enlisted Sailor.
  • 1+ years of experience on an Echelon III or above, Joint, or Combatant Command staff.
  • Knowledge of Surface Navy readiness policies and systems.
  • Ability to develop, produce, and present briefings, issue papers, presentations, and documents at the tactical through strategic levels, including at the General Officer and Flag Officer level.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Navy requirements development, Navy Program Objective Memorandum (POM) processes, or Surface Navy maintenance planning and maintenance management.
  • Experience on a Warfare Commander Staff, deployed with a Carrier Strike Group or Amphibious Ready Group.
  • Experience managing the employment, integration, or development of Navy C5I systems or networks.
  • Experience with Navy logistics, training, or personnel readiness systems, analyzing policies, and management.
  • Experience developing or validating Surface Navy Doctrine and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP).
  • Knowledge of Navy tactical training systems, including the use of Live, Virtual, and Constructive training.
  • Ability to develop and present training in Surface Navy TTP.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Surface Navy Warfare Tactics Instructor (WTI) Certification.
