About the position
The Surgical Technologist II at Arroyo Grande Community Hospital plays a vital role in supporting surgical teams during the preoperative, intra-operative, and postoperative phases of surgical procedures. This position is essential for ensuring high-quality patient care and safety in a recognized healthcare facility that is part of CommonSpirit Health.
Responsibilities
- Function as a team member during the preoperative, intra-operative, and postoperative phases of surgical procedures.
- Assist in maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room.
- Prepare and organize surgical instruments and supplies for procedures.
- Support surgeons and other medical staff during surgeries by providing necessary instruments and assistance.
- Monitor patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures.
Requirements
- A minimum of one (1) year recent hospital experience as a Surgical Technologist.
- Completion of Surgical Technologist training.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST or TS-C).
- Current BLS-CPR certification.
