About the position

The Surgical Technologist III functions in a perioperative surgical technologist role under the direction of the circulating Registered Nurse. This position requires the ability to prioritize, organize, and implement care for the surgical patient. The Surgical Technologist III works closely with the Registered Nurse specialist as a clinical resource and is responsible for managing supplies and instrumentation, as well as providing education in areas of expertise. Additionally, this role includes performing call obligations as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize, organize, and implement care of the surgical patient.
• Work with Registered Nurse specialist as a clinical resource.
• Manage supplies and instrumentation for surgical procedures.
• Provide education in areas of expertise.
• Perform call obligations as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited program for surgical technologists.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist required.
• Meets all standards and competencies for Surgical Technologist II.
• Demonstrates proficiency in specialty/specialties.
• BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support) certification required.

Nice-to-haves

• CST certification preferred.
