About the position
The Survey Party Chief at Ardurra is responsible for supervising field surveying teams and ensuring the accurate execution of various types of surveys. This full-time position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in surveying, with a focus on control networks, boundary, and construction surveying. The role involves operating and maintaining survey instruments, performing complex computations, and ensuring the quality of field deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the work performed by surveying groups in the field.
- Operate and maintain a variety of survey instruments including total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors.
- Perform complex survey computations using software programs such as Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD/Civil3D.
- Inspect and check field deliverables for accuracy and correctness, including field note sheets and electronic data collection files.
- Manage a field crew effectively and ensure compliance with professional surveying practices and procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in control networks, boundary, and construction surveying.
- 3-5 years of experience managing a field crew.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficient with Trimble total stations and GPS equipment, as well as electronic data collection systems.
Nice-to-haves
- Working knowledge of Trimble equipment preferred.
