About the position

This hybrid role is part of the Associate Development Program (ADP) at First Citizens Bank, which is designed to provide entry-level associates with a comprehensive training and development experience. The program combines critical thinking on business and financial fundamentals with hands-on experience across various teams and markets. The first 4 to 5 months of the program focus on foundational skills, including understanding the unique business models of clients, which will enable associates to develop and deliver tailored solutions for both rapidly growing startups and established public companies. During the training, associates will be embedded within Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) business units, gaining practical experience in areas such as credit risk assessment, loan portfolio management, and client management. This immersive approach allows associates to collaborate with experienced team members, complete real work, and develop skills that will prepare them for additional responsibilities in their future roles. As part of the ADP community, associates will assist in managing client portfolios, which includes assessing and monitoring credit risk and providing financial credit analysis for a variety of innovative companies. The program emphasizes building lasting relationships with peers and includes significant one-on-one mentorship to help associates develop both financial and soft skills necessary for a successful career in finance. Candidates from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply, whether they are recent graduates or have some professional experience. The program is open to all majors, provided candidates have demonstrated interest and basic knowledge in finance through relevant coursework or internships.
