Our client in North Phoenix, AZ is seeking a dedicated Swiss/Turn Mill Programmer to join their team. This position is a full-time opportunity with a pay range of $30.00 to $33.00 per hour, depending on experience. The role is temp to hire, allowing candidates to demonstrate their skills and fit within the company before transitioning to a permanent position. The successful candidate will work primarily on the first shift, ensuring that they can contribute to the team during standard working hours. In this role, the Swiss/Turn Mill Programmer will be responsible for utilizing proper methodology, tooling, cutting speeds, and feeds to generate high-quality parts that meet product specifications. The programmer will set up machines to produce the first piece on various CNC equipment, including Swiss and Turn-Mill machines, CNC 3-axis lathes, CNC 2-axis lathes, and CNC 3-axis mills. They will run jobs as required and will study and interpret drawings, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces, as well as the sequence of operations and set-up requirements to maximize efficiency. The programmer will create setup sheets that include tool lists and x-y-z home positions, and will communicate with setup machinists regarding tooling requirements and fixtures. Monitoring and verifying the accuracy of each job's initial setup and final outcome is crucial, as is revising, updating, and maintaining all programs and documents based on engineering changes or process improvement projects. This position requires a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality in all aspects of the work.
