Our client in North Phoenix, AZ is seeking a dedicated and skilled Swiss/Turn Mill Programmer to join their team. This position is crucial for ensuring the production of high-quality parts that meet product specifications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for utilizing proper methodology, tooling, cutting speeds, and feeds to generate these parts. The role involves setting up machines to produce the first piece on various CNC machines, including Swiss, Turn-Mill machines, CNC 3-axis lathes, CNC 2-axis lathes, and CNC 3-axis mills. The programmer will run jobs as required and will need to study and interpret drawings, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces, as well as the sequence of operations and setup requirements to maximize efficiency. In addition to setup and operation, the programmer will create setup sheets that include tool lists and x-y-z home positions, and will communicate with setup machinists regarding tooling requirements and fixtures. Monitoring and verifying the accuracy of each job's initial setup and final outcome is a key responsibility. The programmer will also be tasked with revising, updating, and maintaining all programs and documents based on engineering changes or process improvement projects. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position with a pay range of $30.00-$33.00 per hour, depending on experience. The role is primarily on the first shift, providing a stable work schedule for the right candidate.
