Our client in North Phoenix, AZ is seeking a dedicated Swiss/Turn Mill Programmer to join their team. This position is crucial for ensuring the production of high-quality parts that meet product specifications. The programmer will be responsible for utilizing proper methodology, tooling, cutting speeds, and feeds to generate these parts. The role involves setting up machines to produce the first piece on various CNC machines, including Swiss, Turn-Mill machines, CNC 3 axis lathes, CNC 2 axis lathes, and CNC 3 axis mills. The programmer will run jobs as required and will study and interpret drawings, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, as well as the sequence of operations and set-up requirements to maximize efficiency. In addition to setting up machines, the programmer will create setup sheets that include tool lists and x-y-z home positions, and will communicate with setup machinists regarding tooling requirements and fixtures. Monitoring and verifying the accuracy of each job's initial setup and final outcome is a key responsibility, as is revising, updating, and maintaining all programs and documents based on engineering changes or process improvement projects.
