About the position

The Middle School Special Education Math Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality instruction in mathematics to students with special needs. This role involves developing and delivering engaging lesson plans tailored to meet the diverse learning needs of students in both inclusive and self-contained classroom settings. The teacher will manage the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process for a designated caseload of students, ensuring that each student's educational plan is effectively implemented and monitored. Collaboration with other educators is essential, as the teacher will work closely with general education teachers, special education staff, and support personnel to create a cohesive learning environment that promotes student success. In addition to instructional responsibilities, the teacher will assess student progress, adapt teaching methods, and utilize various instructional strategies to enhance learning outcomes.
