About the position

The System Admin position is focused on providing technical support and administration for various computing platforms, including Windows Server and desktop operating systems. The role requires a strong commitment to customer service, technical proficiency, and the ability to manage and optimize system performance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for user administration, disaster recovery planning, and ensuring the security and integrity of systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server/Desktop operating systems and manage user accounts.
• Oversee Active Directory management, including backup and recovery of domain and GPO setup.
• Implement and troubleshoot fundamental networking concepts such as DHCP, DNS, Routing, and Firewall.
• Manage security principles including ACL and Encryption.
• Utilize scripting languages like PowerShell, bash, ksh, or perl for task automation.
• Monitor system health and performance, providing statistics to identify bottlenecks.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery strategies, including backup and restore processes.
• Install and manage patches and firmware for systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to end users.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT Support.
• Strong technical knowledge of Windows Server/Desktop operating systems.
• Experience with Active Directory management and disaster recovery planning.
• Proficiency in networking concepts and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of security principles and practices.
• Scripting experience for automation tasks.
