System Administrator I

About the position

The System Administrator I position is responsible for installing and supporting in-house and customer hardware, operating system / connectivity, and application software. This exciting and challenging position will put you in a position to directly impact the productivity of our employees and customers.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and optimizing CIC’s network and Cloud performance for customer remote processing.
• Technical support for CIC personnel and customers with hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Maintain quality service by following organizational standards.
• Manage disaster recovery and back-up.
• Create and maintain network users / permissions.
• Maintain servers and associated hardware, applications, services, and settings.
• Completing software and hardware installation projects for CIC personnel and customers.

Requirements

• Degree in MIS or Computer Science or relevant professional work experience.
• Experience installing and supporting connectivity of File Servers, PC’s, Scanners, Switches and Routers in a Windows Networking Environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal staff.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with firewalls
• Server virtualization experience.
