About the position

The System Administrator I position focuses on securing and connecting corporate network infrastructure with an emphasis on Zero Trust principles. The role involves ensuring seamless network operations, robust security, and efficient coordination. The candidate will design and lead engineering projects to ensure a seamless network connection from on-premise applications to cloud services.

Responsibilities

  • Designing network configurations, managing and configuring network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls, and performing network maintenance.
  • Enhancing and managing security policies while developing and enforcing a Zero Trust network structure. Monitoring and responding to security threats by reviewing abnormal network logs.
  • Administering cloud environments by setting up site-to-site cloud network connections. Implementing disaster recovery solutions and ensuring cloud service performance and security.
  • Overseeing corporate communication systems while managing Network Operations Center activities. Coordinating and maintaining network communication infrastructure across affiliate companies.
  • Maintaining accurate corporate network address records and resolving network connection issues.
  • Ensuring the availability, reliability, and security of SQL databases, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, database design, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Providing technical cybersecurity knowledge and solutions to help users understand and address cybersecurity issues.
  • Being available for off-hours duty to handle problems according to SOPs.

Requirements

  • Previous network or database administrator related experience is a plus.
  • Master higher level skills in the specific job area.
  • Experience or competence in accomplished projects with significant contributions.
  • Professional skills required for the tasks described in the INDIVIDUAL SPECIFIC JOB TASKS session.
  • Strong logical design, problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of computer programming languages, computer system analysis, and network infrastructure.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills (required in English and preferred in Mandarin).
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in documentation skills.
  • 4-year college degree required with Computer Science or MIS related majors, advanced degree preferred.
  • Regular, reliable attendance and the ability to work outside the regular schedule as required.
