About the position

The System Administrator at L3Harris will provide high-level system support within secured areas, focusing on enterprise systems administration, configuration, management, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This role is essential for ensuring the functionality and security of various systems and technologies, including virtual and storage technologies, while adhering to compliance and security standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide complex high-level system support to L3Harris secured areas.
  • Perform RMF duties including installing/upgrading operating systems, applying patches, and updating security tools.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot complex engineering and DEV OPS software.
  • Configure, support, and troubleshoot virtual and storage technologies.
  • Utilize complex automation scripting with Python and PowerShell.
  • Provision and configure new physical and virtual servers.
  • Maintain virtual server and VDI Nutanix environments.
  • Manage Active Directory.
  • Administer and monitor Windows systems.
  • Ensure DCSA compliance.
  • Handle Service Now incidents and requests.
  • Administer security tools.
  • Support Nutanix and Citrix VDI environments.
  • Administer NetApp storage.
  • Oversee datacenter administration.
  • Provide engineering tool support for Jira, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Doors.
  • Administer Exchange.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 9 years prior Windows client and/or systems experience, or a Graduate Degree with 7 years prior experience, or a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active US Secret Security Clearance.
  • Security+ or higher certification or ability to attain one within 6 months of hire.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with networking concepts and database management.
  • Experience with deployment automation tools.
  • Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework process under DAAPM.
  • Experience with complex troubleshooting.
  • Microsoft Windows MCSA, MCSE for Server 2016 - 2019 certification.
  • Experience with VMWare and NetApp technologies.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with the DoD engineering/program community.
  • Experience with Commvault Enterprise backup software.
