System Administrator

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business requirements to design and optimize both on-premise and cloud-based (Azure) infrastructure solutions. Provide strategic recommendations and long range (3 to 5 year) plans for scaling, upgrading, and evolving these environments in alignment with organizational goals.
• Regularly patch and maintain on-premises and cloud-based server infrastructure and endpoints. Monitor and remediate vulnerabilities identified by security tools (e.g., Tenable), ensuring secure and reliable operations.
• Manage file and server backups. Perform regular testing of disaster recovery plan & updating DR documentation. Respond to security incidents as needed.
• Oversight of Server & Software Documentation.
• Mentoring and Jr. System Administrator and/or Desktop Technicians and managing any ticket escalations.

Requirements

• Strong emphasis on disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational & written communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel to remote sites as needed (>10%).
• Experience with the following: Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Powershell), Azure & Cloud Services (Entra IS, O365, Azure Virtual Desktops), Cisco Routing and Switching, VM Ware/vSphere/ESXi.
• Cisco or Microsoft certifications strongly preferred (CCNA, MCSA or equivalent).

Benefits

• Incentive eligible position.
• Base salary range of $60,000 - $100,000/year.
