About the position

As a System Analyst at Ebix, Inc., you will play a crucial role in analyzing system problems and designing, implementing, and testing standards and solutions based on specific system requirements. Your primary responsibility will be to define application problems, evaluate existing procedures, and develop solutions by assessing alternative workflow options. You will validate results through rigorous testing of programs and collaborate closely with programmers to ensure control solutions are effective. In this position, you will be involved in various information systems projects and participate in both technical and business discussions that encompass multiple carrier services. A key aspect of your role will be to coordinate with internal illustration systems to obtain application illustrations from carriers, as well as prepare comprehensive system interface documents. You will also be responsible for preparing technical design documents and reviewing system interface requirements documents, ensuring that all technical issues are managed effectively. Additionally, you will validate the build deliverables provided by the offshore team and offer technical support to ensure smooth operations. You will utilize a range of tools and technologies, including Weblogic 9.1, WebSphere 8.5.5.9, Java (Core JAVA, J2EE), MS SQL Server (various versions), Oracle 10g, HTML, JavaScript, Servlets, JSP, JDBC, XML, Struts, Design Patterns, web services, Spring MVC, and Eclipse 3.5. This is a full-time position that may require travel to unanticipated client locations within the United States.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Applications or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience in the job offered or a related field.
