About The Position

The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is seeking a Software Engineer III specializing in Cloud Services to join its Information Technology Services (ITS) Department. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing mission-critical applications for the Credit Risk Management business line, utilizing modern programming languages and frameworks. The position requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to mentor junior developers while contributing to complex projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or equivalent experience in application development.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in designing and developing applications using a software development approach.
  • Minimum of 5 years of development experience with relevant technologies.
  • Strong communication skills to present findings and manage the communication process effectively.
  • Excellent analytical skills to approach problems from different angles and identify underlying issues.

Nice To Haves

  • MCSE or MCSD Certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop web applications in multi-tiered on-prem and cloud environments using frameworks such as ASP.Net MVC, Core, or Spring MVC.
  • Utilize programming languages like C# or Java with modern IDEs (Visual Studio, Eclipse) and ORM tools (Entity Framework, NHibernate).
  • Create solutions using web technologies and frameworks such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, TypeScript (Angular), KendoUI, and Bootstrap.
  • Work with a system Architect to plan automation direction for software application development.
  • Develop relational database schemas, complex stored procedures, and queries in SQL Server, Oracle, or similar environments.
  • Participate in departmental and Bank-wide quality initiatives and comply with information security policies.
  • Mentor junior developers and system analysts, providing guidance and direction as needed.
