About The Position

The System Development Engineer position at Amazon Web Services (AWS) involves working with a world-class technical team to develop and manage large-scale distributed systems, particularly focusing on AWS's database offerings. Requirements

  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 1+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience.
  • 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional).
  • Experience with PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or Java.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology.

  • Dive deep into technical issues and improve customer experience.
  • Conduct deep-dive troubleshooting and technical post-mortem discussions to identify root causes of complex issues.
  • Build and deploy solutions across thousands of devices.
