About The Position

This is a remote position - incumbents, who reside in Oregon or Washington only. There may be occasional situations that require work to be performed on-site at an assigned Legacy Health location. All new hires are required to come to a designated Legacy Health office location in Portland, Oregon prior to their start date for a new hire health assessment and to complete new hire paperwork. This position may require initial training and orientation to be site-based, before transitioning to the remote schedule. The cybersecurity team is seeking a System Engineer II to join our Information Services team. The cybersecurity team at Legacy Health plays a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of the organization's information systems by managing risk. This role involves analyzing, building, testing, supporting, and maintaining systems that enhance our hospital's operations and services. This position offers the chance to learn and contribute to the safety of our patients and our community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, computer science, math, information systems, statistics or business required.
  • Relevant experience (min. of 4 years) may be substituted for educational requirements.
  • 0+ years of experience in delivery of IT solutions to include server, storage, network, client systems engineering and/or security engineering required.
  • 1-3+ years of experience preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of current development and trends in Information Technology.
  • Working knowledge in one or more of the following domains: Infrastructure engineering, Software engineering, Business Intelligence, Data center engineering, Data architecture and data exchange, Windows and Linux, Database engineering, Public cloud environments.
  • Strong soft skills, verbal and written communications.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional and/or technical certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, build, test, support, and maintain systems that enhance hospital operations and services.
  • Contribute to strategies, standards, new capabilities, build and design automated workflows.
  • Connect multiple services or product lines within the organization.
  • Work with customers, stakeholders, analysts, architects, and other engineers to troubleshoot and find root cause of technology and security defects.
  • Deliver IS products and services to the organization that scale efficiently while improving performance and minimizing costs.
