About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering-related fields preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional Information Technology experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Linux operating systems (command line, Redhat and derivatives)
  • Proficiency in SQL (PL/SQL)
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, JavaScript, and Python
  • Good understanding of network systems and protocols, such as UDP, TCP, DNS, SMTP, HTTPS, SSH, SFTP, SCP
  • Experience with web serving, reverse proxying, caching, and load balancing using HAProxy and NGINX
  • Configuration and management of web servers (Apache HTTPD, Apache Tomcat) and application servers (Oracle Weblogic, Wildfly)
  • Experience managing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and monitoring Java EE applications
  • Familiarity with configuration management and continuous integration (CI) tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Gitlab)
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix
  • Configuration and management of ELK Stack
  • Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with Oracle Database and PostgreSQL
  • Experience with OpenStack and public clouds like AWS is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in day-to-day operations related to support and maintenance of Comarch's proprietary software
  • Provide first and second line support, including on-call rotational responsibilities during nights and weekends
  • Handle service requests, tasks, incidents, enhancements, or questions reported by clients
  • Respond to alerts and warnings triggered by monitoring systems, involving diagnosis, resolution, and appropriate escalation when necessary
  • Analyze the root cause of incidents and recommend and implement improvements
  • Collaborate closely with other internal teams to uphold services in line with the Service Level Agreements
  • Document all customer issues, feedback, and enhancement requests systematically
  • Enhance internal knowledge bases by meticulously documenting frequently asked questions, solutions, and techniques
  • Consult with customers and other departments regarding project status, proposals, and technical matters such as software system design and maintenance
