About the position

Nokia AIMS is a dynamic startup within the larger Nokia organization, revolutionizing the logistics industry with cutting-edge autonomous drone solutions. Our innovative hardware-as-a-service offering streamlines warehouse operations, delivering unparalleled efficiency and precision. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented System Test Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and quality of our software and drone systems, UI and UX. You will develop and execute test plans, identify and troubleshoot issues, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our products. You will also need to undertake testing at customer sites when required and travel will be required, including occasionally interstate for up to a week at a time. This role is 100% onsite at the Nokia Bell Labs campus in Murray Hill, NJ.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and maintain test plans and test cases for drone systems including hardware and software components.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain test plans and test cases for customer facing analytics, UI/UX and APIs.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • Identify, document, and track software and hardware defects using bug tracking tools.
  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
  • Participate in design and code reviews to provide feedback from a testing perspective.
  • Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test reports and test coverage analysis.
  • Undertake UAT and be voice of customer when required to ensure new features meets customer needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working in warehouse or logistics industry is a must.
  • Knowledge of system testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Basic understanding of Linux and programming languages such as Python and/or C++.
  • Familiarity with hardware testing and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and environments.
