About the position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Systems Administrator to join the Trusted Security Solutions (TSS) Program within the Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) division. This role focuses on managing Linux infrastructures and ensuring cybersecurity standards are met for Cross-Domain Solution (CDS) products that protect critical data in military applications. The position involves installation, configuration, and administration of both Windows and Linux servers, as well as troubleshooting technical issues and maintaining security compliance in isolated environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support the TSS Program in all phases of the Systems Administrator process.
  • Maintain the Archon gateway system for the TSS Isolated Network.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain user laptops connecting to the isolated network.
  • Collaborate with the Archon vendor for upgrades and patches.
  • Maintain a small classified development network with less than 5 workstations.
  • Work with IA and ISSO to ensure proper patching and user access.
  • Assist with resolving technical issues related to applications and network connectivity.
  • Ensure technical data is transitioned and maintained in an isolated environment.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a government security clearance.
  • Highly proficient in using and maintaining Linux (RHEL) Operating Systems.
  • Strong understanding of network technologies (Cisco IOS preferred) and subnetting.
  • Solid understanding of server administration, architecture, specifications, software, networking, and virtualization.
  • Experience with Disaster Recovery technologies and Data Storage technologies.
  • Familiarity with industry compliance frameworks (NIST/SOX/HIPAA).
  • Expected to obtain Security+ certification within 6 months of starting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prefer TS/SCI clearance; minimal requirement is a SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain a TS clearance.
  • Experience with Microsoft Server technologies.
  • Experience with Server Virtualization administration (VMWare, ESXi, etc.).
  • Understanding of containerization/orchestration.
  • Knowledge of Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI).
  • Experience with SAN/NAS/Virtualized Data Storage.
  • Familiarity with Cross Domain Solutions architecture.
  • Currently valid Security+, CASP, CISSP or similar certification.
