Responsibilities

• Assist and contribute to assigned team for duration of temporary internship/co-op.
• Support Automation & Controls activities for new products introduction and process flow development and improvements with a focus on enhancing productivity.
• Planning, research, design, and development of Visualization solutions in support of Manufacturing of Contact Lenses.
• Data Analytics Systems.
• Process Controls and Safety networks.

Requirements

• Actively pursuing, at a minimum, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Informatics/Data Science, or a related academic field.
• Enrollment (not necessarily taking classes) at an accredited college/university during the internship period is required.
• A minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1-B status) now or in the future.
• Candidates must be able to work full-time (40 hrs/week) with reliable transportation to and from work.
• Detail-oriented, skilled in communication and influencing others, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and assignments.
• Able to work well both individually and as part of a collaborative team.

Nice-to-haves

• Demonstrated leadership and/or participation in campus/community service activities is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Data Analytics and Data Science is preferred.
• Proficiency on Process Flow Design and verification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Mid-level and High Level programming (e.g. LabView, C++, Python, ladder logic).
