About the position

The Talend ETL Software Engineer role at Wissen Technology involves developing and enhancing software solutions within the financial services domain. Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, test, and debug software enhancements and solutions with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to convert business requirements into working software.
• Participate in the design of product architecture for new development.
• Develop, test, debug, and implement software programs using Talend Software, Java, SQL, or related languages.
• Provide insights and suggestions during code reviews.
• Write unit and automation tests to ensure product quality.
• Conduct manual tests as necessary to ensure product quality.
• Contribute to design documentation and participate in customer documentation processes.
• Actively participate in the agile software development process, including daily standups and sprint planning.
• Engage in cross-team activities to complete assignments.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field required; MS degree preferred.
• 3-5+ years of experience with Talend Software.
• Experience in developing ETL/ELT for mapping vendor data sets to proprietary data models.
• Strong SQL background for ELT workflows.
• Experience with Snowflake.
• Experience with Java (optional, preferred).
• Familiarity with Azure Infrastructure (optional, preferred).
• 2-5 years of experience in financial services (optional, preferred).
• Experience with advanced SQL concepts and query tuning for performance is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with object-oriented programming and relational databases.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Azure Key Vault and Blob Storage.
• Experience in financial services.
