About the position

The Talent Acquisition and HR Specialist is responsible for identifying, developing and leading the Plant’s Talent Acquisition Strategy including full cycle recruitment, identifying potential candidates, helping onboard new hires, and supporting various HR functions. This role requires a proactive, strategic thinker who can balance Talent Acquisition responsibilities with HR generalist duties to ensure the organization attracts, develops, and retains top talent.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the recruitment process for all levels of positions, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience.
  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract top talent.
  • Source and screen potential candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking, and referrals.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs and provide guidance on job profiles and recruitment strategies.
  • Manage job postings, screen resumes, conduct interviews, and coordinate interview schedules.
  • Facilitate the preparation and extension of job offers with selected candidates.
  • Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future needs.
  • Partner with Schools and Technical Colleges to improve recruitment efforts.
  • Help develop initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention.
  • Coordinate and participate in employee events and activities to foster a positive work environment.
  • Track and analyze HR metrics to provide insights into workforce trends and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Prepare and present reports on recruitment, retention, and other HR-related metrics.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Support organizational change initiatives and help drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Identify training needs and develop training programs to support leader development around Talent Acquisition.
  • Support organizational change initiatives by advising leadership on effective communication strategies, employee engagement, and minimizing disruption during transitions.
  • Conduct wage surveys and provide recommendations on compensation and benefits programs, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Assist with compensation planning and employee recognition programs.
  • Ensure adherence to employment laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of Talent Acquisition experience, with at least 1 year in a business partner or strategic HR role.
  • Experience working within manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
  • Experience in employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proven track record in leading organizational change and transformation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • High level of discretion and integrity in handling confidential information.
  • Proficient in HR software (e.g., HRIS, ATS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
