About the position

Subaru of America is seeking a dynamic Talent Acquisition Specialist who is passionate about connecting top talent with meaningful careers! In this role, you will develop and execute hiring plans, including proactively sourcing a talent pipeline for assigned function(s). Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from sourcing, to assessing talent, interviewing, and onboarding talent into the organization. You'll work first hand with leaders across the organization as a talent partner to provide support and solutions for hiring needs. You will work with HR Business Partners, and key stakeholders across the business to deliver on our promise to recruit top talent into the organization by cultivating a best-in-class talent experience. You will champion the Subaru Brand and promote careers by participating in various talent acquisition initiatives including campus recruiting, collaboration with community partners, and expanding our outreach to diverse talent throughout the marketplace.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the end-to-end recruitment process for various roles across the Subaru of America (SOA) operations, encompassing candidate sourcing, conducting interviews, evaluating and proposing compensation packages, negotiating offers, and managing the seamless onboarding of new hires.
  • Designs and implements strategic hiring plans for positions up to Director level that may require more expertise, ensuring a continuous pipeline of qualified candidates for critical roles within the organization.
  • Implements proactive sourcing strategies and collaborates with HR Business Partner(s) and hiring managers to understand current and future hiring needs aligned with organizational goals.
  • Continuously evaluates and refines sourcing tools and methods to enhance the recruitment process and improve candidate quality.
  • Serves as a Subaru brand ambassador, actively promoting the company's values and opportunities, particularly in the Camden, Dallas, and Denver communities and other key markets with high talent demand.
  • Trains and guides SOA hiring teams, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), and individual team members on effectively using community and social channels to serve as a talent ambassador and promote Subaru as an employer of choice.
  • Establishes and nurtures ongoing relationships with educational institutions, vendors, and community organizations to bolster recruitment efforts and strengthen employer branding.
  • Partners with HR and business leaders to tailor recruitment strategies for each role, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and goals.
  • Works closely with interview panels to ensure thorough preparation, providing them with essential candidate information and expected competencies to streamline the interview process.
  • Manage candidate expectations and engages talent throughout the hiring process.
  • Provides ongoing guidance to hiring teams on reducing bias in the selection process and oversees the completion of various talent acquisition projects and initiatives.
  • Contribute to Subaru of America's internal first recruitment approach. Provide elevated support, guidance, and advisement to internal talent seeking to develop within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or four (4) or more years of work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Proven experience in managing recruitment for all levels up to senior leadership as assigned by manager, and able to oversee large-scale hiring initiatives.
  • Familiarity with behavioral and competency-based interviewing techniques and assessments.
  • Expertise in recruiting for Automotive, Sales, Corporate, Technical, Engineering, Operations, and related fields.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities, with proficiency in presenting complex data and recruitment trends clearly and effectively.
  • Strong experience in sourcing, creating talent pools, and proactively recruiting passive candidates to meet both immediate and future organizational needs.
  • Skilled in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), with a preference for experience with Oracle Recruiting module (ORC).
