About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for developing and executing effective recruiting strategies to attract qualified talent for various retail positions. This role involves collaborating with the Human Resources Department and reporting directly to the Talent Acquisition Manager. The specialist will focus on recruiting for convenience stores, liquor stores, smoke shops, and car washes, ensuring a steady pipeline of qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain job requisitions on the Applicant Tracking System
  • Attend job fairs and actively search for qualified applicants on community job boards, social media, and industry-specific resources
  • Build a network of qualified applicants for future positions and maintain monthly communication
  • Report weekly on recruitment productivity
  • Screen new applicants and conduct a minimum of 70 phone screens per week
  • Schedule interviews; oversee preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials
  • Provide clear, consistent updates on the recruiting pipeline to the retail hiring managers and Talent Acquisition Manager

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in retail recruiting
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of and experience with Paycom HRIS and Paycom Recruiting
  • Prior retail or convenience store management experience
