About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Catholic Charities Serving Central Washington is responsible for managing the recruitment process for various positions within the organization. This role involves collaborating with hiring managers, customizing interview processes, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. The Specialist will also engage in outreach activities to attract qualified candidates and maintain relationships with potential applicants.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the established recruiting process for the organization.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to understand position needs and educate them on the recruitment process.
  • Facilitate and customize interview questions and the interview process for all open positions.
  • Write compelling job postings in the recruiting system in collaboration with Program Managers, Supervisors, and Directors.
  • Ensure job postings contain all legally required information.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with colleges and attend recruiting job fairs.
  • Develop and maintain an online recruiting presence using social media and other tools.
  • Attend networking events to build connections in the Agency's service area.
  • Coordinate the use of temporary employees and collaborate with the Credentialing Specialist for interns and student practicums.
  • Review applications and screen candidates based on job-related requirements.
  • Conduct telephone pre-screening interviews and perform reference checks.
  • Process all employee/HR paperwork associated with recruitment through the ATS.
  • Utilize knowledge of state and federal student loan assistance programs to develop recruitment outreach activities.
  • Maintain records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork.
  • Report all employee relations issues to the Human Resources Leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in recruitment and human resources functions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to relate to individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Familiarity with social media recruiting strategies.
  • Previous experience in a non-profit organization.
