About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) plays a crucial role in enhancing HRSD's recruitment efforts by developing innovative sourcing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates. This position involves ensuring compliance with employment regulations and HRSD policies while partnering with various work centers and external agencies to support HRSD's strategic recruitment objectives. The TAS is also responsible for promoting a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Research and leverage innovative best practices for talent acquisition.
  • Develop sourcing strategies to attract a diverse pipeline of qualified talent.
  • Ensure compliance with employment regulations and HRSD policies and procedures.
  • Partner with work centers and external agencies to support HRSD's strategic objectives related to recruitment.
  • Support and promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance recruitment services.
  • Provide guidance on recruitment needs to internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Human Resources, or a closely related field.
  • Four years of professional experience in sourcing, high-volume, and online/social media recruitment.
  • Proficiency in operating a PC, including MS Office and HRMS systems.
  • Supervisory experience, including team lead or project oversight.

Nice-to-haves

  • Two years of public sector professional level experience in human resources management.
  • Professional HR certification from HRCI (PHR or SPHR), SHRM (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP), and/or IPMA (IPMA-CP or IPMA-SCP).
